Classical Style Oil Speed Painting By Jonathan Hardesty

Born in Dallas, TX in 1980, Jonathan’s first artistic endeavour began at the University of Pennsylvania where he started basic drawing and figure drawing courses. At the age of 22, his drive for more rigorous and traditional training led him to apply to the classical realist atelier, Pantura Studios, to study under masters Hans-Peter Szameit and Sanna Tomac. After studying for nearly three years, Jonathan and his wife moved to Dallas, Texas where he began building his body of work and honing his skills. In addition, he is teaching traditional atelier methods to a small group of committed and talented students online at Classical Art Online.com. Jonathan’s work is included in various collections throughout the United States and has been exhibited in invitational shows both nationally and in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.

Video Description

This painting was a quick sketch of a friend over a 1 hour and 20 minute period of time. I love doing these quick sketches of models because it is a nice departure from the longer, more involved pieces that I send to my gallery. These type of sketches, while not perfect, are fun because you can focus on capturing a person using your first impression. When something is an hour and 20 minutes you really need to move fast. You have to see things accurately from the beginning, place them, and then pretty much leave them. You don’t have time to mess around with things too much.

I paint exclusively from life and you can see the model there at the end taking a look at the painting.

Coffee Machine (Reflections) Speed Painting Created By Anthony Vauleon

Anthony Vauleon has been fascinated by art in all forms for as long as he can remember. Born in Rennes in 1971 it was there, where his schoolteacher discovered his love and talent for drawing. Anthony’s parents agreed to send him to an Art-school where he was taught by an Art-master name Mr. Morineau. It was him who taught Anthony the Martenot techniques (working with water-colour, ink and oilpaint). Mr. Morineau also taught him portraits, animals, anatomy (human body) and 3D with it’s light and shadow.

Studying in this Art-school for twelve years. At the age of 17, he left for Paris to study industrial graphics. This study has been very helpfull for his further development to date. In 1995 Anthony moved to the Netherlands, where he started to work with airbrush. This is the year in which Anthony Vauleon held several exhibitions in several countries in Europe. In 2000 his Art-company, named Appollo Vision, was born. Amongst his clients: casinos, restaurants, hotels, discotheques, shops, theatres and the entertainment industry as a whole. But he doesn’t forget us! He still loves to do personal requests!

Classical Still-Life Speed Oil Painting by Christine Barme Meyers

In just 7 minutes, watch Christine Barme Meyers create an original oil painting from conception to finalization. The original work was created in 8 hours spanning 3 days, with each brush stroke being filmed along the way. The resulting footage was shortened by speeding up the video by 700% and tediously removing the frames in which her paint brush is shown to separate from the canvas.

The video is accompanied by the first movement of Henry Litolff’s Concerto Symphonique No. 4 in D Minor, Op. 102.

Megan Lee Heart Speed Drawing By Rishan

Do you like the music? I made it myself! :D It is the first ever piece of music I composed using Fruity Loops. Let me know if you would like to hear more music from me. Megan might have given you the impression that I’ve made my own music for ALL my videos, which isn’t true! just this one… for now.

Sometimes things don’t go as planed… Charcoal can be unpredictable… The paper was scratched at the nose and the paper wasn’t flat and had creases :S … drawing turned out well though :)

Portrait of YouTuber: Megan Lee Heart.
Completion time: 1 hour in pencil 5.5 hours in charcoal.
